NO HORSE EXPERIENCE NEEDED, WE WILL TRAIN YOU!
We offer many opportunities for volunteers. Please note that all volunteers must be at least 14 years old. To work in our Adaptive Riding program you must be 16 years old.

To get started please follow the steps below:
- Fill out our Volunteer Registration Form
- Sign up for a 1-hour Orientation
- If you are interested in working in our Adaptive Riding Program and you are over the age of 18 you will also need to complete a background check at the cost of $20. If you are under 18 you may skip this step.
- To complete your background check visit Sterling Volunteers and use our good deed code 5tuptdn to be linked to our organization.

- If you have any history of violence against humans or animals you will not be able to participate in our programs.

- After you complete your orientation and background check you will then be given directions to sign up for side walker training. If you are interested in becoming a horse leader you may begin horse leader training after you have completed 8 weeks of regular side walking and have permission from one of our instructors.

- If you are interested in barn chores, office help, or fundraising you do not need to complete the background check. You will be given more information and direction at orientation.
