Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Praying Hands Ranch and Promise Ranch. We know there are many worthwhile organizations you can spend your time with and we are honored that you want to spend your time with us. We look forward to adding you to our ranch family. Our volunteers are EXTREMELY important to us. We cannot do the incredible work we do without you.

NO HORSE EXPERIENCE NEEDED, WE WILL TRAIN YOU!

We offer many opportunities for volunteers. Please note that all volunteers must be at least 14 years old. To work in our Adaptive Riding program you must be 16 years old.

To get started please follow the steps below:

    • If you are interested in working in our Adaptive Riding Program and you are over the age of 18 you will also need to complete a background check at the cost of $20. If you are under 18 you may skip this step.
      • To complete your background check visit Sterling Volunteers and use our good deed code 5tuptdn to be linked to our organization.
          • If you have any history of violence against humans or animals you will not be able to participate in our programs.

If you are interested in becoming a horse leader you may begin horse leader training after you have completed 8 weeks of regular side walking and have permission from one of our instructors.
    • If you are interested in barn chores, office help, or fundraising you do not need to complete the background check. You will be given more information and direction at orientation.
